2 Boats Destroyed in Fire in Newton, Mass.

Newton Fire says the two boats on fire were cut from the dock to save surrounding boats

Two boats were destroyed in a fire in Newton, Massachusetts, Tuesday morning.

The fires were located at the Newton Yacht Club and have since been put out.

Newton Fire says they responded to the scene around 3:30 a.m. Cambridge Fire and Watertown Fire provided mutual aid.

The owner of one boat said there was an issue with getting water to the boat at first.

Newton Fire said the two boats on fire were cut from the dock to save surrounding boats, but some damage was still sustained.

There were no injuries.
