Man Facing Charges In Connection With Crash in Boston's Roxbury Neighborhood

A Massachusetts man is facing charges in connection with a two-vehicle crash in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood Monday morning and then fleeing the scene.

The crash happened in the area of Moreland Street and Blue Hill Avenue, according to Boston Police.

Witnesses told necn that an Acura crashed into the side of a Nissan Altima around 9 a.m. They said the man driving the Acura fled and was eventually caught by police.

The man was later identified as Louis Santiago, 29, of Lawrence.

Witnesses helped rescue a woman and her son from the Altima. The two were taken to a hospital. Police said the woman suffered a shoulder injury while her son was not hurt.

Santiago was charged with operating under the influence, driving to endanger, operating with a suspended license and failure to stop for police.
