Two people are dead after a wrong-way crash on I-495 south near I-95 in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
The crash happened Wednesday just after 2 a.m.
State police say the driver of a Nissan Sentra, identified as a 24-year-old woman from Middleboro, was driving northbound in the southbound lane when she hit a Chevrolet Cruze, which was being driven by a 27-year-old man from Taunton.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
Late Wednesday, state troopers had still not released the names of the victims. A mother in Taunton, however, identified one of the victims as her son, 27-year-old Adam Santos. She said her soon was returning home from work when the accident happened.

"He was a good boy and a hard worker," she said.
Investigators are still trying to determine where the driver of the Nissan Sentra entered the highway and if there were other factors that contributed to the crash.
