DA: Teen Assaulted, Left Unresponsive in Driveway

The Middlesex District Attorney's Office believes a teenager found unresponsive outside a home in Everett, Massachusetts, on Saturday was a victim of an assault.

A teenager is in critical condition after being found unresponsive in a driveway in Everett, Massachusetts, Saturday morning.

The Middlesex District Attorney's Office believes she is a victim of an assault.

The 18-year-old was found in the driveway of 32 Appleton Street around 6:45 a.m. She was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital, where she was treated for severe hypothermia and listed in "extremely critical" condition.

A resident of the road walked outside Saturday morning to warm up her car and found the teen passed out in the driveway.

Investigators say the young woman had been drinking at a nearby home, left the party and was apparently assaulted.

"Investigators are speaking with individuals who were with the victim in an effort to form a complete picture of what led up to the victim being outside and on the ground when she was discovered," said DA Marian Ryan in a statement.

Everett Police and Massachusetts State Police are investigating.
