A Connecticut man who pleaded guilty to orchestrating a series of armed home invasions and robberies in Danbury is headed to prison.
Marlon Patterson of Danbury was sentenced on Thursday in Bridgeport to 16 years in federal prison.
He pleaded guilty last May to interference with commerce by robbery, attempted interference with commerce by robbery and use of a firearm during crimes of violence.
Authorities said the 32-year-old Patterson was one of two leaders of a conspiracy in which they conducted armed home invasions of drug dealers' homes three times over the winter of 2013.
Authorities said they stole drugs and cash, assaulted the victims and threatened to kill others inside the home.
Co-defendant Michael Spears pleaded guilty to charges and is awaiting sentencing.
