For the first time, the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus is not featuring elephants. They do, however, have dancing poodles! (Published Friday, Oct. 14, 2016)

    The circus is in town!

The Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus is performing at the TD Garden through Sunday, Oct. 16. This is the first season they will not feature elephants in their show. However, there are still plenty of talented animals in "the Greatest Show on Earth" — for example, the Dancing Poodles act.

Dog trainers Alexe and Irina have trained five standard poodles and two mini poodles to dance, twirl and jump. They even can form a conga line!

All of the dogs have celebrity names, like Bruce Willis, Dustin Hoffman, and twin poodles James and Bond.

Alexe explained that they adopt the dogs shortly after they're born, and first get them socialized. At six months, they start training them for up to an hour a day.
