Red Sox superstar David Ortiz will appear in "Patriots Day," an upcoming movie about the Boston Marathon bombings.
"Big Papi" will re-create the real-life moment when he told fans at Fenway Park, "This is our {expletive} city," following the capture of one of the Tsarnaev brothers, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The paper reports Ortiz will shoot the scene this month for the film starring Mark Wahlberg.
The 2013 attack, followed by subsequent related shootings, was carried out by Chechen brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev on April 15, 2013.
Tamerlan died as a result of the shootout. Dzhokhar was found hiding in a boat on April 19, 2013.
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was found guilty on all charges on April 8, 2015, and the following month was sentenced to death.
"Patriots Day" is scheduled to be released in limited theaters in Boston, New York and Los Angeles in December with a wide release in January 2017.
