The death of man in Springfield, Massachusetts, is being investigated as a homicide.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired around 11:45 p.m. Friday in the vicinity of 82 Albemarle St., where they found the victim suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds.
The man, identified as 29-year-old Mark Mayweather, of Springfield, was taken to Baystate Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Both the Hampden District Attorney and Springfield Police are handling the investigation.
