The MBTA is advising commuters that the Red Line is experiencing delays Tuesday evening.
According to the utility, activity by the Boston Fire department is to blame, but no information on the nature of that activity was immediately available.
Around 5 p.m., the MBTA referred to the delays as "severe," but they have since upgraded the status to "moderate."
