Developing Storm Center to Deliver More Rain

This equates to developing Wednesday afternoon showers, a period of evening and night rain, then occasional rain, drizzle and areas of fog throughout Thursday and Thursday night

Though today is another day with showers in the forecast, we actually made some progress in the last 24 hours, with drier air eroding enough of the cloud deck for a lovely sunrise this morning for many of us.

Unfortunately, that progress will be undone in the coming 24 hours, as a weak storm center developing near the coast delivers more rain and saturates the atmosphere, anew.

This equates to developing Wednesday afternoon showers, a period of evening and night rain, then occasional rain, drizzle and areas of fog throughout Thursday and Thursday night.

As you might expect, these conditions don't favor much warming for New England, with forecast high temperatures in the 50s today, and only near 50 Thursday!

By Friday, we start to get some breaks in the action that will help to start the drying process - we'll still see periodic showers, but also should see breaks of sun, and temperatures will respond to that change in the weather by nearing 60.

The trend toward slight drying and warming continues Saturday - still a few showers but more breaks of sun likely and highs into the 60s.

A stronger disturbance to kick this weather pattern out finally arrives Sunday with a round of showers or a thunderstorm that shouldn't last more than a few hours, but may swing through during the daylight hours, then after a quick shot of cool and dry air Monday, we should be off to the races for warmer times at the end of the 10-day forecast.
