Devin McCourty Visits Students at Mother Caroline Academy in Boston

McCourty was happy to make the visit and hopes he can motivate the young women to finish the school year strong.

The young ladies at the Mother Caroline Academy in Boston had a special visit from a star athlete this morning.

After helping his team secure a spot in the playoffs, free safety for the New England Patriots Devin McCourty took a day off from practice to visit the school.

McCourty spent the morning cracking jokes, signing autographs, and most importantly encouraging the girls to follow their dreams.

“Don’t ever let anyone’s fears turn you away from a goal you want,” McCourty told the group of seventy five middle school students.

And as the students start thinking about future, many of the girls thought McCourty’s words of wisdom came at just the right time.

“We're signing up for high schools now,” said 8th grader Kianna Passley-Green. “He basically told us to go for what we want and go for the schools we want to get into.”

With a 100% graduation rate, the ladies at the Academy are already on the right track, but McCourty was happy to make the visit and hopes he can motivate the young women to finish the school year strong.

“If you can inspire someone else and get them going, get them in the right direction, get them in a positive way, why not” McCourty said.
