Don't Believe the Black Friday Hype?

If you avoided the rush and think you've missed out on all the great Black Friday deals, there's no need to worry. Competition among retailers is fierce this time of year. Those who track consumer tech trends, products and prices say that Black Friday is really no big deal.

"It's also Cyber Monday and then Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday... weeks leading up to Black Friday we saw some
great deals and weeks after Black Friday right up to Christmas you're going to see the same great deals," said Jamison Cush, Executive Editor, TechTarget.

Beware of bundled deals. It may not be such a bargain if you're buying items you didn't really want.

"You have to watch out for off brand items... you see a lot of HDTVs that are really marked down, but they are no name. They are bizarre, sort of generic brand televisions that aren't really worth the money," Cush said. "You see the same thing with Android tablets and notebooks a lot of generics that aren't worth whatever they are charging."
