Four utility poles came down Friday on Washington Street in Braintree, Massachusetts.
A section of the street was closed off for much of the afternoon and evening as crews worked to clean-up the downed wires and poles. Authorities with Braintree Electric Light Department said the poles were rotten and fell down in a chain reaction.
The poles were slated to come down before they snapped, according to police. One of the poles was carrying a transformer.
No one was hurt.
Crews say they should have the repairs completed Saturday morning.
Authorities are still trying to determine what brought the poles down. It's not believed the accident is weather related.
