Driver Charged in Fatal Crash that Killed Teen

The driver involved in a crash that killed a New Hampshire teenager last summer has been indicted on several charges.

The Concord Monitor reports 18-year-old Benjamin Cook of Milford faces charges including negligent homicide, aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving after license suspension.

The charges stem from the July 3 crash on Route 114 in Weare that killed 17-year-old Trevor Gonyer of Dunbarton.

Police said Cook's truck was involved in a high-speed chase with a New Boston police officer who attempted to pull it over. Police said the truck sped toward the Weare town line and eventually overturned.

The indictment says Cook negligently caused the death of Gonyer, who was a passenger in the truck.

It's not clear if Cook has an attorney who can comment on the charges.
