A man killed in a crash after leading police on a high-speed chase that went through Connecticut and Massachusetts last week has been identified.

Massachusetts State Police pursued the suspect when he drove through 91 Northbound in Longmeadow at high speed on Nov. 11. The driver continued to flee from police before losing control and crashing while trying to take Exit 2 in Springfield.

Police estimate the driver, who has been identified by the Hampden County Distict Attorney's Office as John A. Font-Rodriguez, 26, of New Britain, Connecticut, was driving around 100 MPH before the crash.

The driver was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield where he died from his injuries. He was the only one in the vehicle, according to police.

    The incident remains under investigation.
