Changes Coming to Tobin Bridge Tolls

After the electronic tolling goes live, drivers will pay a $1.25 to travel both southbound and northbound

Drivers will soon have to pay tolls going both directions on the Tobin Bridge in Boston.

Vehicles used to only be tolled $2.50 to travel southbound.

However, after the electronic tolling goes live, drivers will pay a $1.25 to travel both southbound and northbound.

Officials plan to have the new tolling set when electronic tolling goes up and running statewide by October.

Drivers who do not have an E-ZPass transponder will have a picture of their license plate taken and a bill sent in the mail.
