Earthquake Hits Near Eastport, Maine

An earthquake shook parts of Maine Tuesday morning.

The 3.3-magnitude quake hit near Eastport at 6:56 a.m.

There are no reports of any injuries or major damage.

Necn viewer Alison of Lubec tells us: "We heard it travel toward our home down S. Lubec Rd. It rumbled under our home, shaking the entire house and continued down the road. Our community board online had reports of folks feeling it in Whiting, Edmunds, Pembroke, Whelshpool and Eastport. It sounded like a train. It felt a lot like the 4.4 earthquake we experienced in N.H. a few years ago. Folks reported this morning of pictures falling off their walls and dogs freaking out."
