East Windsor Deputy Selectman Accused of Punching 70-Year-Old Man

An East Windsor town official is accused of punching a 70-year-old man in the face, according to East Windsor police.

In a post on the department's Facebook page, police said they responded to a call from an elderly victim who claimed he was attacked by 65-year-old Deputy Selectman Steve Dearborn.

The police report says Dearborn punched the left side of the 70-year-old man’s face and the man fell to the ground. After hitting the man, Dearborn “aggressively continued to fight with the victim for several seconds,” the police report says.

The victim suffered bruising and swelling, according to police.

Dearborn was released on a $5,000 bond. He is due in court on July 3.

NBC Connecticut went to Dearborn's home Thursday and no one answered, the to his business and he was not there.
