    Eight-Hour Standoff at Police Station Ends

    Police in Waterville, Maine, have arrested a man accused of causing an eight-hour standoff with police in the police station parking lot late Monday night.

    According to necn affiliate WCSH, Gary Cross, 58, was arrested early Tuesday morning.

    Police say Cross was armed with a handgun and refused to communicate with police. Roads in the area were closed during the standoff.

    In addition, Cross may have to pay fine for all of the resources used, which could total hundreds of thousands of dollars.

    There were no reported injuries.
