Ex-Mass. Man Pleads Guilty to Raping 2 Women

Marcel Mota was sentenced Thursday in Worcester Superior Court

A former Framingham, Massachusetts, man who broke into the Westborough homes of two women a week apart in 2003 and raped them has been sentenced to up to 24 years in prison.

Marcel Mota was sentenced Thursday in Worcester Superior Court after pleading guilty to 15 charges including four counts of aggravated rape.

Prosecutors say in one case Mota told the victim he had a gun, while he threatened to kill the second victim and her husband.

He was tied to the 2003 rapes through DNA evidence after he was arrested in New Jersey in 2007. After his New Jersey cases were decided, he was transferred to Massachusetts.

Prosecutors say both victims were in agreement with the plea.
