Expect Delays at Logan During Runway Reconstruction

In addition to the added security, commuters at Boston’s Logan Airport are seeing an increase in flight delays due to the airport shutting down one of it's main runways for reconstruction.

The runway is being fully resurfaced for the first time in 10 years.

Officials expect the runway to resume partial operations on June 23.

The Transportation Security Administration announced Wednesday it is testing tighter screening of carry-on bags at 10 U.S. airports, including Boston. Electronics larger than a cell phone must be now placed in a separate bin to get through the TSA security checkpoint.
