Fans Brave Cold Temperatures for Early Screenings of ‘Star Wars' in Boston

Friday is the day Star Wars fans have been waiting for.

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is in theaters, and fans are excited.

They weren't taking any chances for the first screening, and the cold did not stop those fans from waiting in line for the first showings in Boston Thursdays night.

Some people waited for hours, and most scooped up their tickets as soon as they went on sale back in October.

The film is already Fandango's top ticket seller of 2017, beating out films like "Beauty and the Beast" in pre-released ticket sales.

"The Last Jedi" is reportedly predicted to rake in upwards of $200 million in its domestic debut.

Many of the shows are sold out.

People should expect to see a fair share of light sabers at theaters throughout the day Friday as the crowds are likely to continue.
