A woman was struck and killed by a motor vehicle in Cambridge, Massachusetts on Thursday morning.
According to Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan's Office the victim has been identified as Marcie Mitler, age 63 of Cambridge.
Mitler was hit by a motor vehicle at the intersection of Somerville Avenue and White Street in Cambridge, Mass.
She was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
According to the Cambridge Police Department the driver was initially cited after the accident and may be facing additional charges following the fatality.
The DA's office says this is an open and active investigation.
