Father, Son, Hoping for Return of Stolen Guitars

A father and his 16-year-old son are hoping for the return of their guitars, which were taken from their car after they played at a music festival in Vermont over the weekend.

Police said 50-year-old Richard Brodsky of Newton, Connecticut, and his son, Korey Brodsky, were playing at the Jenny Brook Bluegrass Festival at the Tunbridge Fairgrounds. They realized the guitars were missing on Sunday morning.

The guitars are a 2007 Tony Rice-model Santa Cruz worth about $5,000, and a 2001 McKenna Do Bro style resonator worth about $2,000.

Vermont state police are looking for assistance from the public in locating these stolen guitars.

The Valley News reports Korey Brodsky has won top prizes at competitions and in 2013 played at the International Bluegrass Music Association's awards show.
