Search Continues for Northeastern University Assault Suspect

A female Northeastern University student was assaulted near the Boston school's campus early Thursday morning

A female Northeastern University student was assaulted near the Boston school's campus early Thursday morning and police are continuing to look for the suspect.

Northeastern Police said the assault occurred around 5 a.m. on Huntington Avenue near the Wentworth Institute of Technology. The student said she was walking on Huntington Avenue when she was grabbed around her neck and dragged down an alley next to 578 Huntington Ave.

The student began to scream and alerted nearby security officers, who responded to the area. The attacker then fled.

The suspect was described as a man in his 20s, about 6'2" tall and 180 pounds, clean shaven, with a slim/muscular build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark sweatpants.

Northeastern University Police and Boston Police are investigating the assault.
