Sunshine and Pleasant Humidity

A front that brought drenching rain to Vermont last night is now sealing as it passes southern New England with a few clouds and perhaps a leftover shower or thunderstorm, but most of the day is dry. Highs close to 90° in southern New England, 80s Central, 70s well north.

Another high-pressure system from Canada comes over us Monday with sunshine and the temperature in the 80s, pleasant humidity.

A front with a little more action comes in on Wednesday with a pretty good chance for showers and thunderstorms by late in the day and overnight. High temperature 85 to 90°.

That front may stall near the south coast with a chance for some showers early on Thursday from Connecticut to Cape Cod.

A freshening breeze from the north will bring much cooler air into northern New England Thursday afternoon. Highs near 70 Northern New England in the 70s in southern New England.

The feel of fall is here for Thursday night and Friday with a low temperature in the 40s and 50s, high temperature in the 60s north to 70s south with sunshine and many cumulus clouds for our Friday.

High pressure should bring a sunshine to begin the Labor Day weekend, that was the high moves offshore clouds may increase Sunday and/or Monday, as temperatures rebound from the 70s on Saturday well into the 80s by Labor Day.

We foresee no significant rain to help with the drought.

Even though there are few tropical storms forming near the southeastern United States, it does not look like they can make it our way anytime soon.
