The New Hampshire-based inventor, Dean Kamen, has over 440 patents to his name, most notable the Segway.
Now his latest passion project, the “Slingshot Water Purification System,' is the subject of a moving documentary that closes the Boston Film Festival this Sunday.
Director Paul Lazarus joined us for more on the documentary.
Lazarus said that Kamen has been working on solving the world’s water problem for over 15 years.
He said that the crew was hoping to film a movie that covered the concept of the idea to putting the plan in process.
Filming for the documentary took seven years.
