Filmmaker Moves Ahead with Market Basket Documentary After Surpassing Fundraising Goal

"Food Fight" will chronicle highly publicized battle for Market Basket

New Hampshire filmmaker Jay Childs is moving ahead with his documentary "Food Fight" after surpassing his initial fundraising goal, according to the Union Leader.

The film will chronicle the highly publicized battle for Market Basket.

Childs set an initial goal of raising $50,000 on Kickstarter.com. The film project brought in more than $66,000 from donors by Jan. 11.

Childs is an Exeter resident, and owner of Portsmouth-based JBC Films.

He is shooting for an August release date for the film.
