Films on Brady, Butler in the Works

The projects are being produced by well-known filmmaking teams

Two New England Patriots players are having their heroics immortalized on the big screen.

Films are in the works about Tom Brady, who has won more Super Bowls than any quarterback in NFL history; and Malcolm Butler, whose clutch interception sealed the Patriot’s 2015 Super Bowl win.

Deadline Hollywood reported Wednesday that a new book and film will focus on Brady’s role in the Patriots’ comeback in Super Bowl LI and touch on the Deflatgate controversy.

Writers Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson — who worked on Mark Wahlberg’s “Patriots Day” -- are leading the project.

“The Secondary” will chronicle Butler’s journey from fast-food employee to Super Bowl hero.

Daniel Levin, who produced the Oscar-nominated film "Lion," secured the rights to make the Butler biopic, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
