A five-year-old burglary case was solved last month when fingerprints found at the scene were matched to a suspect.

Benjamin Frederich, 29, of Enosburg, Vermont, has been charged with burglary, and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 19.

Back on July 18, 2010, Vermont State Police were notified of a burglary from the Enosburg Country Club restaurant. Approximately $300 worth of alcohol was stolen from the bar area, and framed $2 and $1 bills were also taken.

At the time, state police were able to obtain fingerprints from screens that were removed from the windows. But there were no suspects at the time.

In August of 2015, a hit from the Vermont Forensics Laboratory confirmed that one of those fingerprints belonged to Frederich.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call state police at 802-524-5993.
