Fire Destroys Historic House in New Hampshire

A fire destroyed a historic home in New Hampshire over the weekend. 

The blaze at the Greek Revival house at 152 Portsmouth Ave. in New Castle reportedly started in the basement, according to Seacoastonline.

The paper reports the flames quicly spread to the rest of the 3,512-square-foot multi-residential building. 

Everyone was able to get out of the building safely. There were nine residents living in three units of the building. Two family pets also made it out without harm.
