    Boston firefighters responded to a fire at 45-47 Sudan Street in the city's Dorchester neighborhood around 11 a.m. on Thursday morning. (Published Thursday, July 21, 2016)

    Boston firefighters responded to a fire at 45-47 Sudan Street in the city's Dorchester neighborhood around 11 a.m. on Thursday morning.

    Upon arrival firefighters noticed fire coming from the back porch and side of the three-decker building.

    The fire traveled up the rear left side of the house.

    Firefighters were able to quickly knockdown the fire.

    There were no injuries or displacements.

    The fire chief estimates damages at $75,000 for 45-47 Sudan and $25,000 for 49-51 Sudan for melted siding. 

    Investigators are still on scene determining the cause and point of origin.
