Fisherman Drowns After Falling From Canoe in Alton, NH

The caller told police his fishing partner fell overboard and that he was able to rescue him.

The Marine Patrol of the New Hampshire State Police says a man died when he fell overboard from a canoe on Gilman Pond in Alton and drowned. 

The incident happened around 11 a.m. Wednesday. 

The caller told police his fishing partner fell overboard and that he was able to rescue him. 

The deceased has been identified as Raymond Tam, of Malden, Mass., and the other fisherman has been identified as Mo Wong, of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. 

Both men were in their mid-sixties. 

Dive teams recovered the man's body around 6:05 p.m.
