NH Man Wanted for Killing Parents, Arson, Child Porn Believed to Be in Fla.

His last known address was in Manchester

Authorities say a man who is wanted for killing his parents, setting their home on fire, and also on child pornography charges in New Hampshire is believed to be in Florida.

St. Petersburg Police issued a press release Tuesday saying they believe Matthew Thomas Dion, 38, has been in the St. Petersburg area since late March.

Dion was last seen in St. Petersburg on September 5th, when he allegedly stole a silver 2013 Hyundai Elantra, with FL tag G673WH. Dion has a history of changing license plates to avoid detection and is possibly living in this car.

Police said it is unknown if Dion is still in the area, but anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact St. Petersburg Police Detective Amanda Newton at (727) 893-7780. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force has offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to Dion's location and arrest.

He was last known to live in Manchester, and until now his whereabouts had been unknown since March 24, the day an arson fire destroyed his family's home on Mooresville Road. Dion's parents, Robert and Constance Dion, were found dead inside the home after the fire was extinguished, and the cause of death was later determined to be homicide.

During the extensive crime scene investigation conducted by the Manchester Police Department, enough evidence was collected to charge Matthew Dion with the homicides of both of his parents, the arson fire, which was set after the homicides and possession of child pornography.

When Dion disappeared after the fire, he was reportedly driving a 2009, white, 4-door Nissan Altima with New Hampshire license plate number 3410587.

U.S. Marshals said it is possible that he has shaved his facial hair or changed his physical appearance in other ways in an effort to conceal his identity.
