Food Bank to Receive Chowder From Super Bowl Bet

Hassan will be at the New Hampshire Food Bank on Friday for the delivery

The New Hampshire Food Bank will be serving 500 cups of chowder thanks to Gov. Maggie Hassan's winning "Souper Bowl" bet with her Washington counterpart.

Along with Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker, Hassan made a friendly wager with Washington Gov. Jay Inslee. As a result of the Patriots' win over the Seahawks, Inslee is donating 1,000 cups of Ivar's clam chowder to emergency food providers in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Hassan will be at the New Hampshire Food Bank on Friday for the delivery.

Officials estimate that 1 in 9 New Hampshire residents don't know when or where their next meal will come from.
