Police say a Thanksgiving Day high school football game was suspended in Bridgeport, Connecticut, after gunshots were fired nearby.

Officials suspended the game between Warren Harding and Central high schools after shots were fired around 11:15 Thursday morning at Boston and Central Avenues.

Police found shell casings at the scene but no victim. Authorities contacted local hospitals to see if anyone had come in with a gunshot wound. They say it appears no one was hurt.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is continuing.
