Fugitive Wanted for Firearm Assault Arrested

Suspect allegedly shot victim inside his car

The Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested a man from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, wanted for aggravated assault with a firearm, on Friday.

The task force received a request for assistance from the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Philadelphia, regarding 31-year-old Ramon Bolorin, of Woonsocket.

Bolorin allegedly shot an associate after an argument over a girlfriend back in February of 2014. The victim was shot in Bolorin's vehicle on Luzerne Street in Philadelphia.

Bolorin was previously convicted of aggravated assault with a firearm in 2002. He served time in prison as a result.

Bolorin waived extradition and was held without bail. He will be held until he is extradtied to Philadelphia police.
