‘Fugitive of the Week' Arrested at Karaoke

Ronald Duby Jr., 43, was arrested when an alert karaoke fan tipped off police to his location.

A man wanted by New Hampshire authorities for allegedly failing to register as a sex offender was arrested in Massachusetts after an alert karaoke fan recognized him as the U.S. Marshal's "Fugitive of the Week."

Authorities say Ronald Duby Jr., 43, was arrested at a bar on Princeton Street in North Chelmsford on Saturday night.

Duby, who had been wanted on an outstanding Hillsborough County arrest warrant for failing to appear on an original charge of failure to register as a sex offender/duty to inform, was featured as the U.S. Department of Justice's "Fugitive of the Week" on May 31.

Duby was convicted in 1995 for felonious sexual assault of a victim under the age of 13.

He's due in Lowell District Court on Monday. It's unclear if he has an attorney.

As of May 25, the "Fugitive of the Week" program has netted more than 6,800 arrests.
