Girl Donates Almost 100 Stuffed Animals for Kids in Need

Hallie Price donated 97 of her stuffed animals to Portland Community Health Center in Maine

A 13-year-old girl who understands how difficult a doctor’s visit can be as a child has made a big donation to some young patients in Maine.

Hallie Price donated 97 of her stuffed animals to Portland Community Health Center.

The clinic serves a range of patients, including low-income or immigrant families.

Price said seeing the doctor can be scary, especially for families who may not be fluent in English and that every child deserves something special after a visit to the center.

She said, “I remember after the doctor I would get a treat, but these kids don't get a treat for being brave.”

The center's smallest patients can now pick out one of her stuffed animals to take home with them.

Price said she plans to donate more toys to the center in the near future.
