Many Boston city councilors, including those pushing for raises, have had poor attendance at City Council meetings since January 2014, according to the Boston Globe.

They report that the councilors, some of which make over $87,000 per year, do not punch time clocks and do not have their hours tracked..

Among the Globe analysis includes Council President Bill Linehan , who has only attended 15 percent of the hearings, which is the fewest out of the council body.

The councilors have not had a raise since 2006 and Linehan has proposed a raise that would bring up salaries to $112,500 per year.
