Body of Man Who Went Missing While Swimming Pulled From River

Authorities have retrieved the body of a man who apparently died while swimming in New Hampshire's Contoocook River.

Hancock police say they recovered the body of 52-year-old Edward Chamberlain Wednesday. Chamberlain had been reported missing after he went out for a swim to the nearby river. His family says his two dogs returned home without him.

The state medical examiner is determining the exact cause of Chamberlain's death. Officials say the river looks calm on the surface, but carries a swift undercurrent.
