Hernandez Lawyers Ask to Exclude Bradley Testimony

Defense lawyers for murder suspect and former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez have filed a motion to exclude Alexander Bradley from testifying on Wednesday.

Defense lawyers for murder suspect and former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez have filed a motion to exclude Alexander Bradley from testifying.

Tuesday's motion states that a testimony from Bradley carries an "unacceptably high" risk of a mistrial. To support the request, lawyers cited a March 26 Boston Herald article in which Bradley's civil lawyer said that there's very little prosecution lawyers would gain from a Bradley testimony.

Bradley, a former friend of Hernandez, has sued the former Patriots tight end, saying he got into an argument with Hernandez after leaving a strip club in February 2013 and was shot between the eyes and dumped in an industrial area.

Judge E. Susan Garsh has ruled Bradley can’t testify about the Florida shooting, but said he will be able to take the stand after she questions him outside the jury’s hearing.

It's possible Bradley could be called to the stand Wednesday.
