High School Student Killed in Boston Crash

A high school student was killed Friday in a crash in Boston, according to school officials.

Police confirm one person was killed in a multi-car crash in the city's Hyde Park neighborhood.

The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. on American Legion Highway, at the intersection with Clare Avenue.

While the victim's identity has not been announced, Boston Public Schools Superintendent Tommy Chang gave his sympathy in a statement.

"I join everyone in expressing my deepest condolences to the family of the Boston Community Leadership Academy student who died tragically this afternoon off-campus," Chang wrote. "Our thoughts and prayers are with BCLA and New Mission High School community."

Chang added that crisis counselors would be available Saturday and Monday for anyone seeking support.
