Hillary Clinton Visits New Hampshire Restaurant

The former first lady went to Manchester, spoke with patrons of the Puritan Backroom and urged voters to choose Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan.

Hillary Rodham Clinton is stopping at a popular Manchester restaurant in her first visit to New Hampshire since the fall of 2008.

The former secretary of state and potential Democratic presidential candidate visited the Puritan Backroom in Manchester, where she walked around the restaurant taking photos, shaking hands and urging people to vote for Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and Gov. Maggie Hassan in Tuesday's election.

Clinton talked to several patrons about becoming a grandmother. She tells one grandmother, "it's the best club to be in."

The restaurant is popular with state politicians and is co-owned by Chris Pappas, a Democrat who serves on the state's executive council.

Clinton tells patrons, "I love New Hampshire."
