Hit-and-Run Suspect Arrested in Downtown Boston

A reported hit-and-run driver, in possession of a large quantity of drugs, was detained and arrested after hitting several cars and then attempting to flee on foot near the area of 70 Rowes Warf in Boston, Massachusetts on Saturday evening.

The suspect, 26-year-old Jesse George Rausch of Enfield, Connecticut was stopped in his tracks by a passerby and a Boston Harbor Hotel Security officer.  A nearby Homeland Security officer detained Rausch until Boston police showed up.

Boston police report that during a search of Rausch's car they found a large nitrous oxide tank, a large quantity pf Rice Krispy and Trix Treats packed for sale that appeared to be laced with a hallucinogen, a pill bottle containing what's believed to be hashish, over $1,200, and various drug paraphernalia.

Rausch also appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

Police then searched Rausch and found multiple tabs of what appeared to be acide and a glass vial of what appeared to be crystal meth.

Officers arrested Rausch and charged him with operating under the influence of a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute LSD, possession of class C drugs, possession of class D drugs, and leaving the scene of a mother vehicle crash causing personal injury and property damage.
