25-Year-Old Killed in Head-On Crash in Maine

A Maine man was killed in a crash in Hollis late Tuesday night.

Maine State Police say 25-year-old Jordan Lambert, of Limington, died at Maine Medical Center in Portland after the car he was a passenger in was hit head-on by another vehicle.

A Hyundai driven by Nicholas Rushforth, 24, of Hollis, was allegedly in the opposite lane on Cape Road around 10:30 p.m. when it hit a Nissan being driven by 22-year-old Tiffany Mains, of Buxton. Lambert was a passenger in the Nissan.

Rushforth and Mains are both being treated for leg and internal injuries at Maine Medical Center. Their current conditions are unknown.

Investigators say they're trying to find out why Rushforth was in the wrong lane and which occupants were wearing seat belts.
