Arson Suspect Nabbed Following Lengthy Investigation

Ronald Martin's bail was set at $500,000

Following a lengthy investigation into a suspicious house fire, police in Northfield, New Hampshire, arrested the owner of a Granite Street residence.

Ronald Martin, 64, was arrested and charged with four felony counts of arson, one felony count of cruelty to animals and one felony count of theft. Martin is also a registered sex offender.

Northfield Police made the arrest alongside with the New Hampshire State Police. Martin was located driving his personal vehicle in the area.

Martin was taken to the Northfield Police Department where his bail was set at $500,000. He was later transported to the Merrimack County Jail. He's being held there while he awaits arraignment in Franklin District Court on Nov. 3.
