Horses Rescued During Animal Cruelty Case Recovering

The horses were seized from a Northfield farm

Fourteen horses which were seized by police in Northfield, Vermont, during an animal cruelty investigation are recovering at animal sanctuaries.

The horses were seized from a Northfield farm during a case in which 20 dogs, 13 horses, 10 ducks and six cats were rescued, according to necn affiliate WPTZ.

Some of those horses are now under watch all day and volunteers are working to keep them safe.

Volunteers with the Vermont Humane Federation are accepting donations and are searching fro experienced foster families for the horses. Donation information can be found on the organization's website.
