House Speaker John Boehner will visit New Hampshire and Maine next week to help raise money for Republican Congressional candidates in both states.
Boehner, a Republican from Ohio, will host a closed-door fundraiser on Sept. 25 for Maine 2nd Congressional District candidate Bruce Poliquin, according to the Associated Press. No further details were immediately available. Boehner is also scheduled to attend a fundraiser for New Hampshire 1st District Congressional candidate Frank Guinta on Sept. 24 at The Radisson hotel in Manchester, according to NH Journal.
Poliquin, the former state treasurer and businessman, is squaring off against Democratic state senator Emily Cain in November. Guinta is running against incumbent Democrat Carol Shea-Porter for the third straight election.
