‘Hubway' Bike Sharing Station Closed After Crash

Police have arrested a man who they say crashed into a bicycle sharing station and abandoned his car.

Authorities say the 32-year-old man drove his black Cadillac sedan into a Hubway station in Boston early Saturday morning.

A police spokeswoman tells the Boston Herald eight bicycles and the station's bike rack were damaged.

Officers arriving to the scene and found the man a few streets away with a large cut on his forehead. The man was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police say the man will be charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.

Hubway says on their website the station will be closed Monday, and it will reopen later in the week.
